We are in a heightened season surrounding fiscal responsibility as a primary point in the ongoing debate regarding America's economic state. It is truly time to sit down and have a mature discussion regarding the climactic, economic situation in which this nation finds itself (of which many state governors are doing).
In looking at the current situation in Wisconsin, where the labor unions are uprising against Governor Walker's stance for fiscal discipline, the President seems to not understand the simple truth -- we cannot spend our way to prosperity. Furthermore, to allow the public sector to rely on the private sector to fund the former's needs is not only selfish, but it is also not practical. Since when does one take off from work to protest and not get fired? At my job, I could never do that and think I would have employment the next morning. Our culture needs to see that it is time to empower servant leaders to work and produce for their needs while helping others; instead, of a mindset that feels entitled to someone else's wealth. The stirring is taking place and many servant leaders are rising up, taking a stand, and impacting their communities for the better.
