Kneeling in worship, humility, and repentance, many Texans are gathering today in Houston at the Reliant Stadium along with their fellow Americans throughout this nation to pray for God to heal our land. Led by Governor Rick Perry, he has initiated "a call to prayer for a nation in crisis."
America is at a point of crisis. This is not a tactical scare; but, a reality. Will we stop, look, and make note that our nation cannot continue in moral and financial decline if it is to exist in the purpose for which God intended--a light, set on a hill? With the S&P downgrading America's credit rating just yesterday and the many other issues that have arisen, it reminds us once again that we need God. As part of Gov. Perry's call he states:
The cross reminds us that as we come to God in humility, trusting that He is bigger than us, Jesus will hear our cry of repentance and lovingly respond to a nation whose people realize they desperately need His guidance. This nation is far from finished. It is significant and has a purpose as do its people. Let's make a stand to seek God's face and let Him heal our land.
