9/11 - A Decade Later

A decade ago today, the United States experienced an attack on our soil that would not only change the nation forever; but, cause us to remember once again the freedom for which we fight even in the 21st Century.

The lives lost that day proved a barbaric and horrific attack on innocent life from the terrorists who thought they could destroy America's resolve through fear. We fought back to remain a nation that would not buckle against those who would try to annihilate us. We also remember those civilians who lost their lives that day and the soldiers who have died to maintain our national security.

Let us not take for granted the freedoms that we have in this nation. As you read the following words of Amazing Grace, remember that it is through God's grace that we received our liberties and through Him we will maintain them. We live in the greatest nation on earth. God bless America!

Amazing Grace (How sweet the sound)
That sav'd a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev'd;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ'd!

Thro' many dangers, toils and snare,
I have already come;
'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall profess, within the vail,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call'd me here below,
Will be for ever mine.
